Up for grabs is a mixed hardwood cutting board. The board measures 12 x 16 inches, 1 1/2 inches thick, and was handmade in South Deerfield, Massachusetts.

Every cutting board I make is made from carefully selected boards, selected to show the best part of the grain, show a mirrored pattern, or to just show contrast. I live in the wonderful Western Massachusetts, where there is many top quality sawmills that offer a great variety of locally harvested lumber. I love to cut my boards from big planks/slabs.  I also repurpose lumber
Before sanding, all wormholes, knots, and cracks are filled-in and sealed. I sand every charcuterie board & cutting board up to 400 grit. I then wet each board with a little water to raise the grain. I sand the boards again. After the sanding is all complete, I oil each board with Walrus Oil Cutting Board Oil, let dry, and then I apply Walrus Oil Wood Wax to each board. After the wax dries, I wipe off the excess, and buff each board. Prior to oiling the boards, I brand each board with my logo.
I also fastened 4 FDA approved feet to the cutting board with stainless screws.

Domestic: Ash, Beech, Catalpa, Cherry, Birch, Black Locust, Black Walnut, Butternut, Maple, Poplar, Red Oak, Spalted Maple, Spalted Oak, Sycamore, White Oak, etc.
Exotic: African Mahogany, African Padauk, Black Palm, Bloodwood, Brownheart, Bubinga, Canarywood, Goncalo Alves, Honduran Mahogany, Lyptus, Pau Ferro, Rubberwood, Sapele, Teak, Tzalam, Wenge, Yellowheart, etc.
