    Description

    A very good example of a German manufactured M1909 Peruvian bayonet with scabbard. Manufactured by Simpson & Co, Suhl.
    This bayonet is identical to the second Model M98s with two piece wood grips and no flash guard.  One pricipal difference is the seial number on the guard and the presence of the Peruvian crest on the pommel. The bayonet and scabbard have not been cleaned but look as
    though they will clean up well.
    The blade is fullered swelling at the point in a manner referred to by collectors as quil back.
    The blade is in good condition as is the scabbard with tight stitching and no breaks.
    Overall length 27", blade 20 1/2"
