    Description

    Here we have a fine World War I German 1914 Iron Cross 1st Class that is in excellent condition. It is nicely vaulted with a beautiful stove black, magnetic iron center and a beautifully age toned silver frame. The iron center exhibits some wear to the high spots. The raised, serrated bead on the frame is very well defined and with crisp detail. The frame is without any separation. The reverse is nicely toned and unmarked. The pin assembly is rectangular and completely functional. This is a classic World War I manufactured cross and a fine example of the Imperial German award for combat heroism.
