WWI GERMAN 1918 BLACK WOUND BADGE IN ENVELOPE w/AWARD CERTIFICATE

Description

Here we have a nice World War I Imperial German Model 1918 Wound Badge in Black that is in its original paper packet of issue and with the award certificate that is in very good condition. The badge retains much of the original smooth, black finish and exhibits light wear. It is complete with the original pin and catch assemblies on the reverse. The paper packet of issue is maker marked, “M.FLECK & SOHN, Hamburg”. Above this is, “Fahnen=und Abzeichenfabrik” and at the bottom, “Ordensdekorationen-Ehrenzeichen” and an image of a 4-place Iron Cross ribbon bar. The envelope measures 2x3 inches and is without damage. The field award document is named to, “Leutant d.Res. Nolle, Stab 33.Reserve-Division” and dated, “30 Mai     1918. All pieces are in very good or better condition.
