    Description

The Hanseatic Cross (Hanseatenkreuz) was a military decoration of the three Hanseatic city-states of Hamburg, Bremen and Lübeck, members of the German Empire during World War I. Each city established its own version of the cross, but the design and award criteria were similar.
These three single ribbon bars represent the medals of the three Hanseatic cities,
    Bremen, Hamburg and Lübeck.
They were assembled using genuine German steel brackets and post-war German ribbons backed with field-gray wool.  The ribbons are post-war. They are fully functional.
