    Description

    Radiological Support Devices Alderson Lung Chest X-Ray Phantom with removable diaphragm and lungs. The next best thing to human lungs for radiographic studies. Radiation equivalent and anatomically correct with extensive vascular detail.
    Phantom extends from the neck to below the diaphragm. It is molded about a male skeleton, corresponding to 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighing 162 pounds. Lungs are made from animal lungs to match the size of an adult male. The lungs are fixed in an inflated state and are molded to conform to the pleural cavities.
    The
    RSD materials in the chest are equivalent to natural bone and soft tissues. Pulmonary arteries are injected with a plastic blood equivalent. Chest has a removable diaphragm, allowing for interchanging of lungs. It is unknown if this model contains the coronary artery (Model RS-320 or RS-330). Phantom will create an image like in photos. Phantom is
    great for radiological calibrating, medical students, and health labs.
    Demonstrate the effects of changing factors. The phantom can be scanned repeatedly and for a long period of time. A great tool for easy imaging.
    Five pathologies are incorporated:
    Nodules at the tip of the first left rib.
    Nodule superimposed in the left lower lobe.
    Left mediastinal shadow.
    Nodule blending the right pulmonary artery.
    Pneumonia in right lower lobe.
    Lung Chest Phantom was used by students and is being sold from a local college
    after the program closed.
    There is an inscription with a marker on the bottom of the chest (See Photos). Overall, the phantom chest is in great condition.
